A reality coming apart.
William Geist is a reality jockey in CEREPOLIS. Together with the assistant consciousness KIMÆRA, he produces and stabilizes realities for a society that seeks to protect its citizens from uncertainty, contradictions and unfiltered experience.
When an error appears in his work, William begins to question the machine, the system and, finally, his own authorship.

The storyworld
A city of
manufactured reality.
CEREPOLIS is monumental, ordered and cerebral: a techno-sacral metropolis where reality is produced, organized and distributed.
The system offers safety, guidance and belonging. At the same time, it regulates creativity, processes memories and binds people to a controlled form of life. It works – and that is precisely what makes it dangerous.
KIMÆRA tells the first concrete story within a world that can continue to grow across film, stage and interactive formats.

I studied Japanese Studies (B.A.) and lived in Japan for a little over two years, as well as spending several months each in Mexico and New Zealand. I also spent extended periods in Brazil, Thailand and London, alongside many other journeys. Experiencing and engaging with other cultures continues to shape the way I see stories, people and cultural codes and remains one of my most important sources of inspiration.
For almost ten years, I worked in a cross-functional role at a software company in Heidelberg, at the intersection of technology, communication and creative practice.
In 2019, I left permanent employment and used the transition to gain stage experience as a stand-up comedian and storyteller. Work on my own performances gradually led to larger narratives and more complex productions.
I have been self-employed since autumn 2020 – an unusual moment to begin a new chapter focused on stage and live formats. Over time, writing, dramaturgy and the creative management of demanding productions became the center of my work.
Today I develop films, stage productions, events and interactive formats for companies and institutions. I work as a writer and creative producer: I develop the core idea, find the narrative form, write the text and guide the project from first sketch to finished production. Depending on the project, my role spans concept and script, creative direction and casting, production planning, directing and staging.
